Definition Of  Elements
        An element is a  chemical substance which can't be broken into further smaller particle. It is consist of only one type of atom.

Characteristics Of  Elements

1. Elements are only made up of one type of atom.
2. Elements can exist as atoms or as molecules.
3. Elements can not be broken into further simpler form by either physical or chemical reaction.
4. Elements are independent.

Chemical Symbol Of Elements 
        Every element has their own unique chemical symbol.
Examples: 'N' is the symbol of  Nitrogen element, B stands for Boron,Pb stands for Lead.
